Dr. Packales recently completed a piece for Cellistanbul a cello quartet based in Turkey whose repertoire includes classical and modern works as well as tango and jazz.
On his 2007 worktable are a Flute piece for Bülent Evcil, an outstanding international flutist, as well as a Cello Concerto.

Tour/Retour was performed on December 20 and 21 in Istanbul, Turkey by the
Borusan Philharmonic Orchestra in two performances in the city. Dr. Packales was privileged to have been invited to attend the performances and again be
acknowledged for this work for large orchestra.
The orchestra, under the direction of Conductor and Permanent Music
Director, Maestro Gürer Aykal proved the finest performance to date of this piece.

Dr. Packales' list of works includes piano, orchestral, choral, and chamber pieces in addition to an opera, Scenes from
the Life of The Virgin Mary, and a ballet, Lilith. Recently completed was a piece for The El Paso Wind Symphony
which has been released on CD.
His compositions have been performed by orchestras and soloists throughout the United
States, and in Canada, Mexico, Great Britain, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Rumania, Italy, Slovakia, The Czech Republic,
Ireland, and Poland. Most recently, there have been performances of his music in Turkey, India, Japan, Sweden and Chile.
Dr. Packales is on the faculty of the School of Music of the University of Southern Maine.
